India's epidemic is under control, cotton yarn prices continue to fall
At present, the number of outbreaks in many parts of India has begun to decline. The blockade in most parts of India has eased the problem and brought the epidemic under control. With the introduction of various measures, the epidemic growth curve will gradually flatten. However, affected by the epidemic blockade, textile production and transportation have been greatly affected, many workers have returned to their hometown, and the supply of raw materials is insufficient, which has brought difficulties to textile production.

During the week, blended yarn prices in northern India fell 2-3 rupees per kilogram, while chemical and organic yarn prices fell 5 rupees per kilogram. Combed yarn and BCI yarn in India's largest knitwear distribution center fell 3-4 rupees / kg, while the price of medium count yarn remained unchanged. The Eastern Textile City of India was affected by the epidemic late, and the demand and price of various kinds of yarn have declined greatly in the past week. This region is the main source of supply for India's domestic clothing market. Spinning capacity and demand in western India decreased significantly. The prices of pure cotton and polyester cotton yarn decreased by 5 rupees / kg, while the prices of other yarn categories remained unchanged.
In the past week, cotton and cotton yarn prices in Pakistan have remained stable. The blockade in some areas has no impact on textile production. After Eid al Fitr, commercial activities have returned to normal.
The fall in raw material prices may lead to pressure on cotton yarn prices in Pakistan for some time to come. Due to the lack of foreign demand, Pakistan's cotton yarn export price has not changed. Polyester and blended yarn prices also remained stable, due to the stable prices of raw materials.
Affected by the decline of the US dollar, cotton mills tend to purchase imported cotton. The domestic cotton price in Pakistan has not changed. In recent weeks, the Karachi spot price index has remained at 11300 rupees / Maud, while the price of imported US cotton last week was 92.25 cents / pound, down 4.11%.
Our polyester yarn prices have also maintained a balance in the past two months.
