Pure spinning

Pure spinning is a kind of yarn made of a kind of fiber material, such as cotton yarn, wool yarn, hemp yarn and spun silk yarn. This kind of yarn is suitable for making pure textile.

Blended yarn

Blended yarn is made of two or more kinds of fibers, such as polyester and cotton blended yarn, wool and viscose blended yarn, etc. This kind of yarn is used to highlight the advantages of two kinds of fibers.

Classification by yarn thickness

Coarse tex

Coarse tex refers to 32 tex and above (18 British and below). This kind of yarn is suitable for thick fabrics, such as tweed, plain cloth, etc.

Medium tex

Medium tex refers to 21-32 tex (19-28 British thread). This kind of yarn is suitable for medium and thick fabrics, such as medium plain cloth, gabardine, khaki, etc.

Fine tex

Fine tex refers to 11-20 tex (29-54 British thread). This kind of yarn is suitable for thin and fine fabrics, such as fine cloth, poplin, etc.

Extra fine yarn

Extra fine and extra fine yarn refers to yarn of 10 tex or less (English 58 and above). This kind of yarn is suitable for high-grade fine fabrics, such as high count shirts, worsted cardigans, etc.

Classification by spinning system

Worsted yarn

Worsted yarn, also known as combed yarn, refers to the yarn spun by combing process, including combed cotton yarn and combed wool yarn. The fiber in the yarn has high parallel straightness, even and smooth evenness, but high cost and high count. Combed yarn is mainly used as raw materials for high-grade fabrics and knitwear, such as spinning, gabardine, tweed, sweater, etc.

Roving yarn

Roving yarn, also known as carding wool yarn or plain carding cotton yarn, refers to the yarn that is combed according to the general spinning system without combing process. In roving yarn, there are many short fibers, poor fiber parallel straightness, loose structure, many trichomes, low count and poor quality. This kind of yarn is mostly used as raw materials for general fabrics and knitwear, such as woolen fabrics, cotton fabrics above medium and special grade, etc.

Waste spinning

Waste spinning refers to the yarn spun with textile scraps (waste cotton) or blended with low-grade raw materials. The yarn is poor in quality, soft, unevenly dried, mixed and poor in color. Generally, it is only used to weave coarse cotton blanket, thick flannelette and packing cloth and other low-grade fabrics.

Classification by spinning method

Ring spun yarn

Ring spun yarn is a kind of yarn which is twisted by traditional spinning method on ring spinning frame. The internal and external winding of the fiber in the yarn is connected, the structure of the yarn is tight, and the strength is high. However, the production efficiency is limited because a set of mechanism is used to complete the twisting and winding work at the same time. This kind of yarn is widely used in all kinds of fabrics, knitwear and rope.

Free end yarn

The free end yarn refers to the yarn made of fiber agglomerated and twisted in the high-speed rotating rotor flow field or electrostatic field. The twisting and winding functions of the yarn are respectively completed by different parts, so the efficiency is high and the cost is low.

Airstream yarn

Air flow yarn, also known as rotor spinning, uses air flow to condense and twist fibers into yarn in the spinning cup with high-speed rotation. Compared with ring spun yarn, the structure of the yarn is more fluffy, wear-resistant, even and bright colored, but its strength is lower. This kind of yarn is mainly used for flat cloth, flannelette and knitted fabric with bulky and thick texture.

Electrostatic yarn

Electrostatic yarn is a kind of yarn made by using electrostatic field to condense and twist fibers. The structure of the yarn is the same as that of the airstream yarn, and its use is similar to that of the airstream yarn.

Vortex yarn

Eddy current yarn is a kind of yarn spun by using fixed eddy current spinning tube instead of high-speed spinning cup. The yarn has many bending fibers, low strength and poor evenness, but it has good dyeing and wear resistance. This kind of yarn is mainly used for pile fabrics, such as pile clothes, sportswear, etc.

Cage yarn

Dust cage yarn, also known as friction spinning, is a pair of dust cages used to condense and twist fibers. The yarn has a layered structure, the twist of the core is large, the handle is hard, the twist of the outer layer is small, and the handle is soft. This kind of yarn is mainly used in industrial textiles, decorative fabrics, as well as outerwear (such as work clothes, protective clothing).

Non free end yarn

Non free end yarn is another new spinning method which is different from free end yarn, that is, in the process of twisting the fiber, the two ends of the fiber strip are held, not free end. This new type of yarn includes self twisting yarn, air-jet yarn and core spun yarn.

Self twist yarn

Self twisting yarn is a kind of new non free end yarn. It twists two pieces of yarn by a reciprocating roller. When the pieces are close to each other in parallel, they twist each other to form yarn by the force of untwisting rotation. The twist of this kind of yarn is uneven, and there is no twist section on one yarn, so the yarn strength is lower. It is suitable for the production of wool yarn and chemical fiber yarn, and it is more suitable for the production of fancy and suede fabrics.

Jet yarn

Air jet yarn is a kind of yarn which is produced by using the high speed jet vortex produced by compressed air, twisting the yarn, wrapping and twisting. The yarn structure is unique, the core is almost twistless, the outer fiber is wrapped randomly, the yarn is loose, the handle is rough, and the strength is low. This kind of yarn can be used to process woven and knitted fabrics, as men's and women's tops, shirts, sportswear and work clothes, etc.

Core spun yarn

Core spun yarn is a kind of yarn with filament as its core and short fiber as its outer covering. It has the advantages of both core filament and short fiber as its outer covering, which makes the yarn performance surpass that of single fiber. The core filaments commonly used are polyester, nylon and spandex, and the staple fibers commonly used for outsourcing are cotton, polyester / cotton, acrylic, wool, etc. Core spun yarn is mainly used for sewing thread, shirt fabric, ragged fabric and elastic fabric.
