Structure and types of reactive dyes
Reactive dyes have been invented for more than 60 years.
In 1954, Ratti and Stephen of the British Imperial Chemical Industry (ICI) discovered that the dyestuff of dichlorotriazine had covalent bond with cellulose fiber under alkaline condition, so they applied for the first patent of reactive dyestuff.

1、 Trichlorotrigine
Dye characteristics:
Dichlorotriazine type reactive dye is the first one invented. Twenty years ago, X-R yellow, X-3B red, X-BR blue and other low-temperature dyes were the representatives of reactive dyes. Of course, there was a familiar dye factory called Shanghai No.8 dyeing and chemical factory.
Dichlorotriazine reactive dyes are active, but the biggest problem is easy hydrolysis and poor levelness. The dyes are hydrolyzed in the storage process, and now they have been eliminated by medium and high temperature reactive dyes.

2、 Monochlorotriazine:
Dye characteristics:
Monochlorotriazine is a kind of high temperature reactive dye, which uses - NHR (or alkoxy) instead of a chloride ion on the triazine ring. Its reactivity is reduced and its stability is improved, but its dyeing pH and temperature need to be improved.
Representative dye:
K type of Shanghai No. 8 dyeing and chemical factory, E type of Huntsman (Cibacron e of Ciba), drimarene xn of Angao, Procion h of desda, rifacron he of Lehe, Korea.
Note: the experience of Pushan h is relatively rough. First, the dyestuff Department of Imperial Chemical established jerichon, and then jerichon was acquired by BASF, the dyestuff Department of BASF was acquired by destar, and destar was acquired by Longsheng later.
3、 Monofluorotriazine:
Dye characteristics:
Using f instead of monochlorotriazine to color CL can improve the reactivity, fixation rate and fastness. Of course, it is also difficult to peel off the dye.
Representative dye:
F type of Huntsman (Cibacron F of Ciba), Levafix en of desda.
4、 Pyrimidine trichloride:
Pyrimidine is a diazine structure, which has low reactivity, but the highest stability, the most difficult hydrolysis, acid resistance and high temperature resistance. It can be dyed at 90 ℃, and react with fiber to form ester bond, which is generally alkali resistant, so it can be used as post mercerizing dye.
Representative dyestuffs: the Drimarene X (formerly Clariant X).
5、 Difluoromethyl pyrimidine:
Dye characteristics:
On the basis of trichloropyrimidine, two fluorines are used instead of two chlorine. The dyestuff has higher stability and fastness, and the reactivity is not improved by trichloropyrimidine. It belongs to medium reactive activity and has good fixation rate. It can be said that it is a high-end product in dyestuff.
Representative dye:
Ango's DeMille K (formerly drimarene K of Klein) and desda's livafix EA.

6、 Quincloxaline:
Dye characteristics:
It is characterized by low temperature fixation at 40-50 ℃, but it is not acid resistant, easy hydrolysis in acid conditions, and active reaction.
Representative dye:
Levafix E type of lihuashi of desda.
7、 Vinyl sulfone:
Dye characteristics:
The reactive activity of vinyl sulfone based reactive dyes is between dichloro triazine and monochloro triazine, and the reactive dyes are of medium temperature type. It is characterized by acid resistance and alkali resistance. Therefore, the pre alkali process can be used in dyeing. The dye with vinyl sulfone group is bright in color. The most widely used brilliant blue R is one of the representative dyes.

8、 Monochlorotriazine & Vinyl sulfonyl:
Dye characteristics:
The representative of double reactive dyes is also the most widely used type of reactive dyes. Monochlorotriazine and vinyl sulfone complement each other, with high reactivity, bright color, high fixation rate, easy washing, good fastness, and high compatibility and reproducibility of ternary color. They are necessary dyes for dye factories!
Representative dye:
Shanghai Wande type B, Shanghai No.8 dyeing and Chemical Factory M / me, Taiwan Yongguang everzol, desda Remazol, sumfix super, Japan, kiscozol HF, etc.
Note: Shanghai Wande should be the first company to promote double reactive dyes in China. More than ten years ago, it started to flourish, but now it has gradually faded out of the dye business...
9、 Monofluorotriazine & vinylsulfonyl:
Dye characteristics:
The reactive activity of monofluorotriazine and vinyl sulfone double reactive dyes is higher than that of Chlorotriazine and vinyl sulfone double reactive dyes. The dyestuffs with low directness, high solubility, strong reactivity, dyeability and washability are superior to ordinary reactive dyes. The dyestuffs have high alkali resistance, peroxide resistance and fastness. They are really masters in dyestuffs!
